WePower

Thank you to the Estonian international cleantech Beamline Accelerator (beamline.fund) and Cleantech for Estonia (Cleantech ForEst) for the privilege of moderating the worldwide webinar, "Future of Energy - Digitalization, Blockchain, Startups & Corporates", on March 30, 2021.

START-U-UP believes that Estonia as a country is at the forefront of digitalization, and the two main expert speakers in the webinar, Georg Rute from Elering, and Kristjan Kuhi from WePower, represent companies at the cutting edge of energy digitalization.

Despite having a population of just 1.3m, Estonia has given birth to five unicorns — startups valued at over $1bn. This makes the tiny Baltic state the best performing nation in the world in terms of unicorns per capita. On March 1, 2021, Sifted (backed by the Financial Times) featured an article about the thriving Estonian (cleantech) startup ecosystem with the title: "Who will be Estonia's next unicorn?"
